Suspect in rapes due back in court

A Connecticut man awaiting trial on charges in a series of rapes and other attacks along the East Coast is due back in court.

Aaron Thomas is scheduled to appear Wednesday in New Haven Superior Court. He has been held since his March 4 arrest on charges of rape and other offenses in New Haven.

Authorities say DNA confirms he is responsible for rapes and other attacks on 17 women from Virginia to Connecticut. He is charged with three rapes in Virginia and one in Connecticut.

Thomas has pleaded not guilty in Connecticut.
